Strathearn School after school kayak club!

Please note we are sold out this term, if you missed out we will have Easter Term online soon to book. Also everyone can come along to our Girls Only club session on Mondays 7-8pm or any of our beginner kayaking sessions, Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm & Saturdays 12pm.

 

All pupils must complete and print off a parental consent form to hand in on their first day.

This session is for Strathearn School pupils only. The club is organised run by Belfast Kayak Academy, not by the School.

On completion of these sessions, pupils will be invited to join the club and attend our weekly club training sessions and potentially represent Ulster at National and International competitions.

The students will be collected from school in our minibus and brought to swimming pool. Please go straight to the Canoe Club Mini bus which will be outside the PE department at 3:30pm.

Pupils are to be collected from the swimming pool after the session at 5:30pm. For more information on location please contact Dillon on 07907589299.

 

Times

Every Friday after school:

3:30pm pick up from school.

5:30pm collection from the Swimming Pool

Halloween term 2018 (6 weeks)

September 21st, 28th.

October: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th.

 

Christmas Term 2018 (7 weeks)

November: 9th, 16th, 23th, 30th.

December: 7th, 14th, 21st.

Can't Make it on these days?

We have plenty of kayaking sessions through the week that you can come along to. Thursday evenings & Saturday afternoons. Please click membership for more information.

  • Flat water Kayaking
  • Canoe Polo
  • Playboating
  • Water games

 

Clothing

Wear anything you are happy to get wet. The swimming pool is heated to 16 degrees. You may wear a wet suit but it is not necessary. Waterproof rubber shoes would be ideal. Not trainers please as they are uncomfortable in the polo boats.
